About Me

Hello!
I’m Carlos, a passionate student at Humber College who thrives on blending academic learning with real-world experience. Currently, I work at Hudson’s Bay, where I’ve honed my skills in sales and service, both in-person and over the phone. My diverse skill set includes delivering high-quality customer service, embracing cultural awareness, and much more. I believe in the power of creating meaningful connections and making every interaction a memorable experience for others. Join me on this journey of endless possibilities and let’s make a mark together!
My Story
Hey there! I’m originally from Colombia, and I’ve had the incredible experience of living in various cities like Atlanta, Ottawa, and now, Toronto. These places have been like classrooms of life, teaching me so much about different cultures and helping me develop some pretty cool soft skills along the way.
Life hasn’t always been a walk in the park for me. I’ve faced challenges since I was a little one, but with a mix of skills and sheer determination, I managed to overcome them. I’ve been working since I was 19, saving up every penny to fulfill my dream of living in Canada, which finally was fulfilled in September of 2022.
My love for sales? Well, that’s a family affair. My parents, who are rockstar salespeople, passed on their wisdom from my childhood. Learning the ropes early on has shaped my passion for sales, and I’ve been riding that wave ever since.
So, here I am, navigating through different cultures, overcoming hurdles, and constantly growing both personally and professionally. It’s been quite a journey, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

My Education
High school was a game-changer for me, especially during my time at Gloucester High School. That’s when I stumbled upon the fascinating world of architecture. It was like opening a door to a universe of creativity and problem-solving. I fell in love with the process – the challenge of coming up with innovative designs and finding solutions to architectural puzzles.
Those high school years weren’t just about grades; they were about building the foundation for the person I am today. I became more resilient, adaptable, and learned to tackle problems head-on. From 2020 to 2021, I was deep into architecture, and every design challenge felt like a new adventure. It was a period where frustration turned into tolerance, and I learned to navigate obstacles with a touch of grace.
Fast forward to 2022, and I kicked off a whole new chapter at Humber College. I dove into a Bachelor of Commerce in Digital Business Management. Thanks to the skills and mindset I picked up in architecture, this journey has been something else. The mix of creativity, problem-solving, and adaptability has given me a unique perspective in the world of digital business.
It’s been a wild ride, but each step, from high school to college, has added a layer to who I am today. I’ve got this deep appreciation for all the skills I’ve gathered along the way, and I’m pumped for what the future holds.

My Experience
I’ve had the privilege of working in various customer service and sales roles, each shaping my professional growth. At Cricket Wireless (Sep 2021 – Mar 2022), I honed my communication and customer service skills while promoting new lines of service. Moving to AT&T (Mar 2022 – Jul 2022), I adapted to a high-pressure environment with increased call volumes and sales targets, refining my sales techniques and ability to engage diverse clients.
Joining Hudson’s Bay in April 2023 marked a new chapter, providing me with opportunities to grow and learn in a dynamic, marketing-focused retail role. I worked there until June 2024, gaining valuable experience in customer engagement and sales strategies.
In June 2024, I took on a new challenge as Head of Web Design at Maximuebles JC S.A.S, where I lead a cross-functional team in developing a user-friendly e-commerce platform. This role has allowed me to integrate AI-driven solutions, SEO strategies, and digital marketing techniques to optimize the company’s online presence.
Each step of my journey has provided me with invaluable lessons and the chance to connect with remarkable individuals, shaping my skills in sales, customer experience, and digital business management.
